Default eyes on shell lake

hello, appreciate any information on walleye fishing on shell lake. what to use for bait what color jigs? where would i find walleyes on the lake going up this weekend 08-11-00 any info before then would very much appreciated. thank you.

I assume your talking about the Shell lake in Becker county? If that is the one, it is under rehab. It's reletively shallow and subject to winter kill. In 96 she had a real bad kill. But the Dnr has restocked it pretty good. The only problem is the vast majority of the eyes aren't that big yet. I haven't heard much about it lately but it does hold some eyes yet. Deepest water you can find light tackle small bait. Try some Fatheads on white jigs. Good luck!!! If you have no luck with the Eyes try out the pike fishin. There's plenty of them yet. Big tandem spinners baits tipped with a sucker minnow. Trolled with electric will work just fine.
