This is just a follow up on our question of where to go on vacation that would be close.

We ended up going to Camp Lacupolis on the lower end of Lake Pepin. The cabins were very nice and very reasonable. The fishing was good.
We caught walleye, northern, and white bass. We would highly recommend contacting bea@camplacupolis.com and enjoy your vacation.

Very helpful, friendly people.:thanks2:

Thank you very much for the report on your trip. Glad you had a good trip. It is always appreciated when someone lets us know how their trip went.. So many people ask for information, suggestions, etc., on websites, then disappear until they want more help.

We are very fortunate here in the Midwest to have so many fisheries of the highest quality that are easily accessible. With so many factors figuring into our traveling right now, it is good to know that we don't have to cut back on our fishing. We can find a place to go that's close, but also offers the very real chance for good fishing.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Best Fishes,

Glad to hear the fishing was good on Lake Pepin. Did you have better luck on livebait or trolling crankbaits?

We used #7 shad raps and also used 3 ways with #7's and weights and/or jigs, 3/8. Best luck in 12 to 14 foot of water. The color didn't mater.

Did you fish mostly the south end of the lake or get more into the river system?
