Don't go unnoticed!
Email viruses got you?
As you might imagine, Fishing Hot Spots receives a ton of emails daily. What you may not know is, our server network is pretty good at spotting and dealing with viruses. Probably a dozen or more a day never make it to their intended readers and that includes customer service and sales. That means you don’t get a response and think we’re not getting back to you. We’d love to respond, but don’t want to take the chance of infecting our systems. These emails are routinely deleted, many times before we even see or know about them. Technology is wonderful, when it works.
What can you do about it? The first fix is easy…put something in the subject line. Many times, transmitted viruses have no identification in them. Our programs will not allow messages of this type into the system.
Second, make sure you install, update and run some kind of virus protection software that checks both your incoming and outgoing email. Norton Antivirus is one example of such programs that is constantly updated to keep you and your address book protected.
We want to make sure all correspondence is answered in a timely manner. But, if an infected email is noticed, we don’t think twice about deleting it. A little prevention will help you and everyone you’re in contact with.
