Kid

I don't know about $70 or less, But, I still think the best bang for the buck is an Abu Garcia 6500 C3, (might be $80 or $85).

Try one, I did, I liked it.

I like the Shimano Stradic. However, it's a little over $100. Smooth with a great drag. The less priced Shimanos also seem to be pretty nice, but are not as fancy looking. I would think you could go a step down from the Stradic and be very happy with it. A friend has a Penn spinning reel. Don't know the model, but it's one of the gold saltwater types. Not sure if they are in your price range or not. Great reels.

Remember...fish don't live in ugly places!
