Default How to re-dye buctails

I seen to have a lot of bucktails that are the same color, wondering if they can be re-dyed to a different color. Has anyone done this.
Thanks

It's my understanding that you have to acid dye them in order to get a permanent color. It is probably easier to buy a tail of the preferred color and retie.

Rewire them and put different color/size/style blades on them.
