Cold water soft plastics

Here in Utah Muskie season is never closed and my local Muskie water is fished heavily so this year I'll be throwing big soft plastics early in the year with cold water for Tigers. Has anybody had much luck with this presentation? My first Ski is usually in May after water warms up and I'm throwing spinnerbaits or plugs. Thanks much. Bob T.
