Hello,
I was looking for a resort on Eagle Lake for my family to vacation this summer and came across Birch Dale resort. It looked like a nice place and I was wondering if anyone had any comments on either Birch Dale or any other resorts on Eagle Lake. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Hi, all I know is that Eagle lake has some very big fish in it. I hope you find some good lodging. Have a good one, Kingfisher

Birchdale is a good lodge. They are right across the bay from Andy Meyers, but a lot less money. It is much more workable for the family thing.

I just booked Cedar Point Lodge for the 2nd year in a row.
Honestly, I can't believe how great this place was. Now I have not been to Canada before, but I do vacation in MN 2 weeks a year for the past 10 and have a pretty good idea of what makes a good resort. Can't say anything about the other lakes, but Pat at Cedar Point runs a great lodge. At least worth a look on the web. No matter what, everyone seems to say Eagle is a tremendous lake. Good luck. We stay at Deer Trail Lodge. Reasonable family and group rates. Very nice cabins and comfortable boats. Rich & Ruth are very helpful, down to earth people. Hate to give away a secert spot, but I'll share this one! Their site is on web.

I would try sportsmens lodge. It is right on the boarder of the west arm and the vermillion bay. The rates are lower than andy myers and Jim and Cindy do all they can to make your visit enjoyable. Plus Herbie tells his clints to watch for the guide who Jim and Cindy use. He's a local and has fished the lake all his life. I got a 52.5"er only 10min from there camp. There number is (807) 227-5318

stickboy,
there are many good operations on eagle lake offering many diff. options, pricing stuctures, and services offered.everyone has their niche and customers.we have not grown every year since 1994 without providing something no else is in service, information provided, and experience. statements like you have just made only make you look like you have no clue as what you are talking about and anyone you really knows what is going on when it comes to musky fishing knows better than to believe bull like that.what a joke!let's compare pic's over the last 10 years, yours, any guides on eagle,or any resort and i never talk the talk unless i can walk the walk.oh,and i post my real name. just because i didn't give you all the info you expected to get when you walked in looking for it while staying someplace else is no reason to post false information. steve herbeck AML |
