Sabagon, Basil Island and Basil Channel areas

Heading to lake of the woods this weekend anyone been there lately? What is the water level and are the fish on the rocks or weeds? Or a combo of the two? Also any one ever been up around Basil Island or the Basil Channal? Friend told me it would be worth the time to run over ther from sabagon and fish it for muskies. Any hot baits, topwater, jerk or bucktails. rip some lip and thanks Chuck
