Default can you use a fl 8 transducer on a marcum lx3?

I have a transducer for my trolling motor so I can use my fl 8 in the summer. I was thinking of buying a marcum lx3 but that would be cost prohibitive to buy another trolling motor puck too. I know you can use a fl 8 transducer on an fl18.

My guess would be no, but I would look at the specifics of each unit. I wonder if they even operate at the same frequency?? Do they even have the same type of physical connection(BNC)??

I agree, Why bother. If moneys that tight (nothign wring with that) thatn buy a used flasher (old style with red flash) for $75.00 . It will get the job done if ya know how to read it. i.e you spend thousands on a truck that depreciates, ya spend thousands on a boat that depreciates, ya spend $600 at Christmas time on everyone else, why not on you? you work hard right? Something is fishy around here.
