hi tech rods

I had 10 fishing poles stolen two years ago. I've been replacing some of my poles. Last year I bought hi-tech silver lite 5' ulta lite. And at the same time I purchased a similar rod made by rapella. After several fishing trips, the rapella had broke 3 times, it was very brittle. I returned it to store and bought myself another hi-tech the same as the first one I bought. These rods seem to be very durable and good sensitivity. I was wondering if they make a medium heavy action and if anybody uses them?
