Default gps confused

I want to mark way points on topos on a PC and then dwn load them to a gps to take on the water. I want to go to the way pt.s when I get to the lakes. I don't care if the lake map is on the gps or not, way pt.s are good enough. I have a Garmin 12 hnd held, a Bottom Line HR, that a gps mod can get hooked up to and the Wisc. Lake Master CD and a PC or Mac. Any suggestions with what I have or the best/econmical solution with new equipment.
Thanx

Fred- The Bottomline HR is not a mapping based GPS Unit. Great depthfinder, but I use a Garmin 162 with an HR on My boat. Hope this helps. Bob WC#253.

Thanks for the info. Is the GPS module worth it for the BL? Its about $275.00 and seems dated. But that big screen seems like a waste on the BL and should be used for something, can I plug in another recievers that might be a little more current?
Again thanks. I read tooooooo many mags and catalogs in the winter and then start wanting things that may or may not be worth the trouble and cost.

Fred- Garmin GPS are second to none and they`re customer service is top notch! Like I ssaid earlyier, I have a Garmin 162- user friendly, plus I like the internal antenna- one less thing to clutter the boat up! Hope this helps- Bob WC#253.
