Tourney over Memorial Day weekend In SD

Does anyone know of a local-type Walleye tournament over Memorial Day weekend in Eastern SD? I would like to take my brother to one and that is about the only weekend he has free to do so. It can be anywhere in Eastern SD, North or South.

Have you checked with Mac's bait in Lake preston? There's usually one on Thompson about that time. You could also check with the Watertown dive/rescue team and see when theirs is on Kampeska. I'll check with a buddy of mine over my lunch break and see if he knows of anything going on, I'm sure there's one somewhere.

So. Dak. GF&P used to have regulations not allowing tourneys on holiday weekends, as far asI know they haven't changed this regulation...

The "Mac's, Lake Thompson Tournament" is the weekend of June 7th-8th, as of Monday morning, he had 2 places available.

On that same weekend, June 7th-8th, Dakota Sportsman are putting on a two day tournament on Lake Poinsett. There are still spots available for that as of last week.

Nothing that I know of over the Memorial Day weekend. Good Luck!!

I can't find anything on that weekend. It appears that if there is one, it's small enough to fall under GF&P's and everyone else's radar.

Thanks guys, I can't believe they still have two spots left in the Lake Thompson Tourney, it fills fast every year. We are already in that one.


If any of you will be around Lake Thompson over memorial weekend we could set up a Derby. It sounds like that is where we will end up for the Holiday since there aren't any other tournaments around.
