Swiss Army multi tool $27.99 (fished up out of the local river) the red plastic body doesn't taste like metal when the dog is short a hand. Nail clippers to small to find and the neck strap jobs fell apart which was a bit of a releif anyhow. It seems like around the neck is around you and everything else. Stole a pair of $1.00 Garfield the cat scissors one of 2 pair I bought my girls. They have been in an uncovered boat 4 years, rained on stepped on and rusty and they still cut braid. Smiling plastic cat with metal blades were really too sharp for children.

I use a cheep letter opener. The kind businesses give away for advertising about the size of a credit card. Drill a hole in one corner and put on your clip with your nail clipper and hook sharpener

Thanks for the replies. For those inquiring why you can't use a nail clippers, is because it does not not make a clean cut and it frays. Maybe it is because I use such small diameter line.

I'm with dpigs - those $2 kids fiskars are compact, durable and cut the super lines great! Oh, also cheap enough they're almost disposable. Chuckles

The best tool for cutting super lines that I found is a very small pair of wire cutters.Make sure there are no dings or dents on the edges.I know with some of the scissors you have to hold the line tight with the wire cutters you do not ..big advantage..good luck.......spamoose
