I was in a old tackle shop today and saw what looked to be "old" stock Storm Hot n Tot lures. They looked to be have the metal lip, etc. I know there are guys out there that use these things... but Ive never tried (I know shame on me). Are these worth picking up and using even with the New Hot-n-Tots that are either out or coming out?
Please educate me on this, thanks. |

Assuming Normark plans on making the NEW tot's with the same molds they aquired with the Storm buy-out, I suspect there would be little if any difference between the two. Now, if these are some old colors, in the old style boxes, they would be more in demand to collectors. If these qualify, I'd be a grabbin and a buyin them boys.......especially if there the 1/4 ounce size. I don't see you loosing any money on them, unless they are already priced out of sight. It wouldn't hurt if they are the better colors that you couold at least use if they are the less in demand. |

i run all the "hotntot's" that are out there. some of the newer ones have metal lips but not made in all the colors that produced. i still prefer the original hotntots to the ka booms, producers, new hotntots. but i use em all.

it depends, if you have a presentation and a place to use them, pick some up in the colors that work for you. i would'nt buy them just to have them. you may want to consider the collector/avid user value and buy them to put them up for sale.

MO,
I did the same thing a while back, now I wish I hadn't. Probably my fault for paying too much up front, $6.39, but that is my fault. Thinking they were in higher demand than some lead me to believe, I'm sitting on a pile of them and no buyers. I've tried Ebay and WC Swap Board, some luck, but I still have a lot left. I'm ready to open them up and give them a try, who knows, maybe I'll be buying them back!! LOL :P Good luck, |

Well they do look like interesting baits to at least try. These that I found are $4.25 each so I think worth a try anyways. I do a lot of trolling for eyes here in Missouri and Kansas and they might work good that way.
