Definitely on the right track. Not that I need to give you advice. I ran thru there Sunday night and........ I've never seen the river so dirty! Visibility of about 3-5". Ran the usual rip sticks, rippers, tots, j-plugs, etc. The only hit came when I got desperate and broke out with the ole' chartreuse bass spinner with big willow blades.

I'll second Gilligan on the Fire Glow cranks. Nothing in the box is as loud and they hold the glow quite well.

Rapala Rattlin' Rap on lead with a short Power Pro leader.

Our best colors for stained water like you are mentioning are the Fire Crawdad (RFCW) and Orange Crawdad (RCW) , number 5, 7, or 8. They are cheap too.
