Hey, Guy's. I wrote and posted this last year around the middle of December, anticipating that it would work it's way down the board and be off by the time Christmas was over. And that startigy worked out fine. But, with the real Lac of new posts lately, I might as well put it up now for everyones enjoyment. Resite it like you would the original Night Before Christmas.
[b]"Twas the night before Christmas, and all across the Bay" "The shanties were lit up, from guys wanting to stay" "The tip-ups were set out, and poised very near" "It's (FISH-ON) us anglers were waiting to hear" "My Do-Jigger had settled, and my arm started to ache" "And suddenly a RED band appeared, on the Ol' FL-8" "My heart beat had quickened, and then my legs started to shake" "I let the lure hang steady, while I awaited the take" "With a sag of the rod tip, and a snap of my wrist" "I drove home the trebles, in the jaws of the fish" "Her struggle was valiant, with sharp bends in the pole" "But with slow steady pressure, I worked her into the hole" "Her girth was impressive, Her length 30 or so" "My buddy was shocked when I told him, "I'm letting her go" "Think of this buddy, before we call it a night" "Tomorrow's Gods birthday, and I want to start it off right" "I've caught plenty of walleyes, and taken home more than my share" "I'm giving this one back to Him, I think it would only be fair" "So back down into the hole, and under the ice" "Now swim away swim away, and give someone else a good fight" Happy Holidays to all you guys. |

That is very nice poem...and here I thought it was going to be crude or something.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to you! Karpbuster

>BTW was that you over at icefishing first? I think there were >some misunderstandings,..I posted my two cents about it,.. [b]Thanks, Hollis. And yup that was me. Hey, I'm holding no grudges again'st anybody for the whole thing. I was just taken off guard and slightly offended by the responce of the moderator to my very first post on that board that's all. And then when my second post got the jokers response, I knew I had stepped into the wrong room. I realized soon after, that both responders were just kidding me. But I thought the first response to a new members first post, should have been "Welcome Aboard". I generally like to get to know somebody before pulling to hard on their leg. If you have any specific questions about the Saginaw Bays ice fishing opportunities, you just send me a personal e-mail and I'll answer any of your questions to the best of my knowledge. |

I guess I didn't see the moderators post,..yeah that happened to me over on the NEW YORK BASS FORUMS- PLACES TO FISH,.my first post on this public board was if anyone fished Kinderhook lake, (I place I used to fish. and know pretty well.)..the moderator for what ever reason blasted me for asking a question without supplying personal information to others first (?) Well I did and asked (sincerely)and added at the end, "is this was enough information?" Well he read that as being a wise answer and dusted the whole thing and railed on about he would guard the site against "troublemakers" I was stunned,..not at all my intentions but after monitoring that board for a while I have decided not to post there. It is the weirdest run board I've ever seen,.the guy bullys everyone and the people that stay stroke his feathers all the time to be on the good side of him! Yea some boards are not worth it,.Well I'm glad that this board and you are HERE, I have enjoyed your post for years!
