Gulp is a great bait. I used it all last summer and I was very impressed. NO, do NOT put it back in the bag. It dries out and will contaminate all your good baits, also make sure you seal the bag when you take some out and try to force out as much air as possible. It will tend to dry out just being exposed to air, so treat it kind of like "live" bait and you won't have any problems. We found it best to keep the bait fresh on the hook so every so often if the bait looked worn we would replace it.... but it stills lasts plenty long.

I DO think it out fishes other plastics. My brother was using a very similar looking bait, and I was using gulp. I was catching close to twice as many fish with gulp. We were fishing Lake of the Woods in July and fishing 20-30 humps using 1/8 oz jig heads and plastics. The only problem I ran into was that after 2 days I RAN OUT OF GULP! Next time I'll take 10-12 packages with me!

Gulp is water soluble so if you put a worm back in the bag the water from it will begin to break down the other worms in the bag. BUT it takes a long time for it to break down. I have a 2" Gulp grub in a glass of water from the beginning of June and it is still not broke down. So I would say go ahead and put the used ones back in the bag as long as you don't plan on storing the bait for a couple years.

Do make sure to keep the bags sealed when not in use as it will dry out. If it does dry out put it in some water and it will regain its shape and flexability in about 15 minutes.
