Default Big Fish

Have been fishing mostly Reservoirs for over ten tears and have not broke the ten pound barrier yet on Walleye. Have come close but nothing consistent. Want to change that this year. Any suggestions for targeting big fish would be appreciated.

Not sure where your fishing but my suggestion is large cranks and if you can do it go out at night.

I'm far from being experienced at catching big fish but I think that fishing a body of water known for consistently producing big fish is an important factor. I see that you're from Lander and although I fish Wyoming reservoirs more than I do Colorado's, a lake 20 miles from my home regularly produces a fair amount of big walleyes and is where I've caught my three largest, a 9, 10.5 and 12 lbers. All three were caught on bouncers/crawler harnesses in the dead of summer when fishing was so slow that these were the only fish I caught on each day. Kinda gives me hope on really slow days. LOL.

Try night fishing, many with crank baits but harness's with alittle glow in them usually does the trick.
I like full moon the best but the dark moon also works,I like fishing aeras that I have been catching nice fish in during the day close to deep water (usually a big feeding flat)I'm probably different then most night trollers as I usually use deep diving lures more the stick baits, I like to run them WAY out behind the boat and really dig into the bottom, it might not sound like the norm but I have had allot of really big walleye in my boat doing this in resivores. Almost all the deep divers work, deep thundersticks, hot lips (my favorite), hog boss's,bomber long a's ect., I like dark colors with white bellies (lots of flash) if the lure does not have a white bellie I give it one using whiteout.
My 2 best night time harness's have been a glow wedding ring with hammered nickle blade, and 6 4mm clear beads with a glow/tiger stripe smile blade.
Ps trolling cranks just alittle faster then everyone else works well during daylight hours on res.
