I have been using Berkley Senastion for the past few years and it seems to wok very well for all apllications. It is pretty tough, yet still casts well.

New this year is Vanish Transition. I know there will be a ton of folks trying that this year, myself included. Gold above the water, disappears under the water.

I agree with Johnnie.....Sensation is great, but I found that when fishing the river, as I do, the Sensation's abrasion resistance is really not good. I have gone to the Berkley XT HI-VIS. It doesn't cast quite as well, but that stuff is tough. I pitch wingdams, and riprap, in stumps, rocks, and all kinds of river junk and the XT seems to work out well.

The Stren Hi-Vis mono is the brightest mono out that I have used. Day or night very Hi-Vis stuff.

It is durable and easy to spool. For slip float rigging, bait rigging, and some jigging we find it very user friendly stuff.

If you can find it ......try Maxxima's "fibre glow" in your line strength. I've used it for both salmon and walleye. My third year with it..........would reccomend !

Sufix has introduced a new line in a Hi-vis chartruese. Very strong line yet supple and low memory. I've fished with it several times last fall and have all my reels spooled up and ready for action this spring on the local rivers. I agree witht the others, walleyes don't seem to mind the brightly colored line, especially in river situations. They are oportunistic feeders and don't have time to examine the line when there is food drifing by.
