Have a 17 foot lund and am looking for an anchor for fishing the Mississippi. Any suggestions on what type and size.

Default RE: anchor

If you are anchoring in current or wind, a chene or slip ring anchor does a great job of holding the boat in place. And they weigh only 5 lbs.

Check out the Walleye Anglers Trail website. One of their sponsors advertises a unique anchor design which is promoted as being nearly 100% retrievable with superior holding ability.
