Default JIGGING RODS

Looking for a new jigging rod! Broke mine last night!! I had two Diawas that i have used for jigging for the last few years. They are now both broke. Any suggestions out there!! Thanks in advance.

Just my opinion, but I would look into Quarrow Performance Rods. They are not new but not many people have heard of them. I just discovered them late last season and so far this year I have switched over to them totally. They are a high end rod for not such a high end price. Check out www.quarrow.com or contact me at jpiette1@new.rr.com I will try and point anyone in their direction.

St Croix Avid would be my suggestion. Very light in the hand, excellent feel. At $150, not cheap but you can't beat the feeling. Have a Loomis, Berkley, Allstar and cheaper St. Croix. There is a difference in my mind. They have a cork inlay in the reel seat for better feel. Plastic reel seats are hollow between the blank and the seat which hurts the sensitivity. Also the handles on the Avid are longer than say a Loomis IMX, which I like for bracing on your forearm. Just my thoughts

Be more specific for better recommendations - jigging as in pitching 1/16th or 1/8th oz or vertical jigging 1/4oz to 1 oz.

I too like the Fenwick Techna AV. They have many actions and lenghts to meet a variety of needs. These rods are very high end, but not priced like it. The fish very well.

Check them out.

For the price, I like the Fenwick HMG's. Have 3 HMG ML rods (two 6' & one 6'6") and use all for jigging. I also use the 6'6" for lindy rigs as well.

a nice rod (reasonably priced) you might want to try is the lamiglas competitor series
7'0 ml for pitching 1/16-1/8 oz jigs
compares in hand favourably to my new 7-0 st croix tourney legend
1/4 oz jigs i use lamiglas 6-6
3/8 and up 6-6 med heavy quantum pt
also have an original series one for 1/4's
but have also used hmg's which are also a good rod
techna avs are nice but the taper at the tip is super fast and does not lend itself as well to clumsy people
you did not mention your budget
a very nice jig stick is also the 6-3 st croix
100$ and under hmg's or the lamiglas cs series
