can anyone point me to some links regarding walleye spawning.
in particular the success rate of 8lb plus spawners as compared to 4-7lb fish. and what percent of spawners are made up of 8lb plus fish. our walleye club is debating this now....would prefer great lakes info as these are closeest to lake winnipeg. a new proposal is being put forth here in manitoba that all walleyes over 22" must be released starting in 2007 this could effectively kill the 3 tournies at pinefalls the 2 on the red and 1 at lake of the prairies thanks ps. lake winnipeg is still being commercially fished by over 800 netboys for 13 million lbs and it is the rec anglers who are going to have to pay. manitoba .... a 100,000 lakes how many walleyes ???? i will never have enough time.... |

manitoba,
I have always wondered what the walleye fishing was like on lake winnipeg. I can't imagine it wouldn't be excellent for big fish. |
