Default Scotty or Ram rod holder....

Looking to rig a new boat,I want 4 flush mount rod holders. I had the Scotty holders in my previuos rig, nice secure units just a little awkward to release the rod in a hurry.Never had the Ram rod holders (Ram-114)so how do they compare? Or is there another brand that is better? Thanks.
