Same Quistion as last year, Our local Amish are catching a lot of good walleye, We can't get a bite? What's the deal, Seen three fish caught all around me, We are trowlling at 1.6 - 1.8 Pulling every bait made, but They have something 3 ft. in front of anouther bait?
WE are in 15 - 24ft water in a 6000 acre man made lake in Ky. WE are fishing a long bend in the river channel with some bolder rock and rock bluffs ,the in side is a mud flat. The water temp is 80' and near the river where the backwater starts It may be a dipsy with a crank following or can you use a jig and grub behind a refrunner or a #9 shadrap ? Thanks Rowdy |

No, they turn the boat so you can't see!

I'll bet they're using a Jet Diver with a crawler harness.
Tie some harnesses up with flurocarbon, use a Jet 20. You'll be on the fish, and then turn YOUR boat. 55 feet of line will put you down 18', 43 feet of line will put you down 16', 34 will put you down 14. Meat Hunter. |

In-line trolling weight, the old pink ladys that just dive with no keel setting, jet diver, Lindy weight...etc... Could be a three way with a crank like a deep diving reef runner with the harness trailing off the other eye. This seperates the in-line effect...
If you get the speed and the target depth you should be able to put a program together?... Are there any tournie fisherman that could go with you???... We beat ourselves to death with programs and could probably help your situation once the area is looked at... Post a map of your lake and ask for ideas you'll probably get some that will put you right on target...Don't give up and most of all be cinfident with your presentation and pay attention to detail... |

Depends on the water clarity for the bead colors.
