Default My Favorite Lakes.

What are your favorite lakes ? Please give us three. Please don't worry about revealing any cards held close to the vest. If on the map, you and at least a hundred thousand folks know about "your Favs". As assurance, please also know that fishing guides can park folks on spots and catch fish. . . only to have those same folks come back the next day and bagle no matter what thedy do.

Name of lake, County, and State. . . here's Seven for Wisconsin. . . more than a double measure than my above parameters. Please take these in the spirit that they are given and respond likewise.

In no particular order of importance: But - lakes I've fished with better than average success.

Big Green Lake, Green Lake County.

Fence Lkae, Vilas County.

Crawling Stone Lake, Vilas County.

Mainitowish Waters Chain, Vials County.

Lake Geneva, Walworth County.

Lac Courte Oreilles, Sawyer County.

Grindstone Lake, Sawyer County.

After you've made a contribution above, and you then want more from me, contact me personally for further info on the Lakes I've listed lakes.

Devils Lake-Ramsey/Benson County, ND
Brewer Lake-Cass County, ND
Mt. Carmel-Cavalier County, ND

I pretty much fish only fish Devils in the summer. The other 2 lakes are where I learned how to ice fish.

Here are my three Wisconsin favorites. I'm a little reluctant to give this up, because up until now, I've had them all to myself.

Green Bay, Lake Winnebago, Lake Michigan.

There, the cat's out of the bag. Now I suppose there'll be a bunch of boats out there this summer...

It is a lot easier in New Mexico, the lake with the water in it.

But for real:

Since the Stripers are on a slide,

Ute
Conchas
Santa Rosa

Otherwise Elephant Butte.

Rich,

We have a little territory in common.

No particular order:

Lake Geneva, Walworth County, WI

Fox Chain o' Lakes, Lake County, IL (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Not really a favorite but it's close to home.)

Mississippi River, Prarire Du Chein, Wi. (sp?)

And as a bonus selection, North Arm, Rainey Lake, Ontario.

I use to live in Arlington Heights. Geneva was good to me also. I miss it.

There really is only one good lake in New Mexico and it is Elephant Butte. Where else in the state can you catch fish on heavy gear and almost get spooled? The only other fishing experience that comes close is saltwater fishing.

My other two choices are Elephant Butte and Elephant Butte.
