Default Setting up my Lowrance X-125

Can anyone tell me the best way to set up my new X-125 to get the best results out of it? I so a lot of Saugeye and Crappie fishing. I Know it is not a real expensive unit but it is within my means. Thanks for any response!

For the money it has great pixel counts. You need to set this up depending on what body of water you're on. If you are on clear water you need to set the sensitivity so you can see a double echo on your screen. In dirty water you might have to back it off depending on the trash it picks up. Most of the time you need to do this with changing conditions.

Thanks C. Crawford,
I read that chart speed should be set at max speed and grayline about 50%. I did not realize that it needs to be set up differently on different lake with different water claritys. That is helpful!
Thanks again,

Set your ping speed on 100% and your sensitivity on auto. This will work on most lakes unless you have alot of weeds or other issues. Make sure your transducer is set about 1/4 inch below the bottom of your boat and facing forward just a little so you can mark fish will you are moving. If you set your ping speed to slow or your transducer to high you wont see fish very well.
