Default What type of Flourocarbon

What type of flourocarbon line should I be using for leaders for trolling rigs? I want to us a 30lbs leader.

What ties the best and is least visible?

Has anyone used Berkley pro formula(i think thats what it is called?)?

Thank you for the info!!!

That is what I would use, the Berkely 100% Flourocarbon Pro. I haven't used it in that lb test but I have used the 15lb and liked it. It has low memory and knots tie and hold well.

Check out the line on line at Cabelas. Check out the reviews on whatever lines you are interested in. Has sure helped me. I was going to get Berkley Vanish but the reviews were very negative. Seaguar fluro was rated very well by the users.

The Berkley Pro flourocarbon is a different fomulation than Vanish, although I have personally had no trouble with Vanish, I don't like it on spinning reels, okay on baitcasters. Also, be aware that flourocarbon, and I don't care whose it is, takes extra care when tying knots. ie.extra extra lubrication and pulling the knot snug slowly.

Seaguar is simply the best, and absolutely worth the slightly more expensive price tag. It ties better, fishes better, and is very abrasion resistant. Seriously, save your time and buy the best first.
