Smile big gun

Hello Teddy: My advice is to go with a factory loaded cartridge that is available most anywhere. I have a 375 H and H that I used in Alaska. Ammo is available everywhere and there are a lot of good factory loads. But if bigger is better I would go with a 458 win. or Roy Weatherbys 460. Have fun and good luck. O - R

I am an avid air rifle and air pistol shooter, yet I fail to see any value in a $500-700 air gun that fails to create as much muzzle energy as a 22 magnum like Marlin 983T for $230, Marlin 925M for about $225, Savage 93F for about $215 and Stevens 305 for about $200.

You want a Big Game gun to play with get the Remington 300 Ultra Mag then have it Ackley improved. Bud has one and my what a sweet cannon it is. 30 cal rounds not as expensive as 338 and other stuff to reload. Only way to have a big bore gun and play on the range is hand load everything.
