I want to buy a BIG gun.

I won a browning 325 WSM A-bolt two years ago. I havent talked to anyone who has one nor is there much info on the new 325 caliber out there. Anyone knows if this new caliber will make it or do I need to stock up on a good supply because is is going the way of the dodo bird?

Based on the hole in the whitetail I made this year, it's way more power than what I normally need. (30 cal entrance hole - 4 inch wide exit)

I think it will stay around but ammo will begin to get harder to find. The 270 wsm and 300 wsm are much more popular rounds than the 325 wsm but I think wsm are here to stay. They really didn't need to bridge the gap between the 300 wsm and the 338. If the 300 wsm isn't enough there was already the 300 RUM. Never the less the 325 wsm is a solid round. Overkill for deer but great on larger game like bear and elk. If you use it for deer stay as light on the grain as the gun will shoot good groups as many wsm's seem to shoot better with a heavier grain bullet. I would always save your shells for reloading in the future. Another bullet to look for for deer is recoil reducing ammo. It will do much less havoc on deer.

Never hurts to have a good supply on hand, if your afraid ammo will become scarce, pick up a box or two when ever you see the load you like.

Not sure how much you shoot, but a couple hundred rounds probably will last most a long time.

And ya, I'd save empty cases, you get enough it might pay to reload.

They sold pretty well out here when they first came out.
I see quite a few used ones for sale, now.

I dunno ...Seems like the gun companies like to come out with new stuff every now and then to generate some sales.
