This will be my first year with my own dog, but I have a German Shorthair. We will hunt mostly pheasants.

I run 2 German shorthairs. I'm also looking into German wirehairs. I hunt alot of pheasant and a little of each, grouse, woodcock, duck and goose. The type of cover I hunt in can vary from corn fields to woods to ponds.

German shorthair, (during past 20 years I've had German Wirehairs and a Weimaraner), pheasants and quail, mostly farm fields and nearby weed cover.

I have three labs. They hunt for the most comfortable places to sleep, they hunt for any food dropped on the floor and they hunt for biscuits. Actually, our older one is used for duck hunting and sometimes for field hunting geese. She also has numerous obedience titles as well as a UKC hunt title. The other two have not been hunted, they are used for obedience showing. One has a conformation title and obedience titles and the other just obedience titles.
