It isn't legal in many states, but if it is legal in your state, the eyes of a perch on a hook or jig can be a deadly bait when nothing else is working.
Many times you catch a lot of smaller perch or even large perch that you are going to keep. Pop out the eyes and bait up your hook. Remember - can't do it in some states!! Check your regs. I expect that it is the shine of the eyes, or smell or whatever that works. I always leave a bit of gook hanging off the eye to flutter in the water. Take care REW |

Roger they are really good for ice fishing for white fish. :)
Use the WALLEYE CENTRAL BUSINESS DIRECTORY "Skeeters Stuff" under marine supplies (boat cleaning supplies), it really does work. http://www.walleyecentral.com/wcdire...ry=Boat%2FMari |

Perch eyes are my bait of choice. Usually I start the day with Meal worms as bait. Sooner or later I will have a perch that will not go back. As I try practice catch and release. Never have liked the taste of fish. Anyways, a perch eye is great bait. Although when the perch are hitting you could use your watch as bait.
