Default Quick Stow Rod Rack from Cabelas

Has anyone tried this rod rack, like to know pros and cons? Also any Ranger 1850 owners try this rod rack and if so which one fits seat base in boat?

I bought the 2 3/8" model about 3 years ago. It was a bit difficult to assemble because of the screw location inside the tubes. Also I didn't like the fact the holder rotated in the base. I have the Springfield plug in bases and I was able to fix the rotating by cutting a notch in the bottom of the holder tube. It is very nice for keeping rods vertical and out of the way in the boat. I move mine all around in the boat depending on how I'm fishing. I stay in a motel near the lake I fish and at night I take the entire holder and rods into the room. All in all I'm satisfied with the holder.

I did get this as a birthday gift, and was able to put it in boat on a sunny day this past month. I like how it holds the rods and will report how I like it on the water. I also have 6 rod holders now on ranger rails and will put them to good use as well.

Took five years to get it? I like mine but I had to drill a hole in the seat base and insert a bolt to keep it from spinning.

I guess it did, I hope mine doesn't spin, I will find out early in March.
