Default Stern Light outlet rubber plug

I lost the plug that covers the hole on my stern light. I have an 06 620. Are the plugs universal?
Does the plug attach under the removable piece on the fixture?
Thanks,

Jim,
A simple solution is to take your boat to a hardware store and buy a rubber plug that will fit the hole. Buy a couple so that if you need it, you will have a spare. These typical rubber plugs run from 30 cents to a dollar or so.

Take care
REW

p.s.
I expect that the plugs are generally vinyl and not rubber, but any type of stopper will work for the application. You could even take a nice piece of cork and turn it down for a light stopper rather than a thermos stopper if you happen to have a lathe. Or, you could take a nice piece of burled maple and do the same thing. You could even carve a walleye statue in a nice piece of bass wood, with round base that would fit your stern light.

Perhaps your lost plug will give you an opportunity, to make your Ranger Unique in the fishing world!!!!!!!!!

Walleye statue carved from a piece of Bass wood?

Now, that would be subtly ironic! I wonder how much conversation mileage a guy would get out of that!!!

I have an 07 620 and lost mine too. The drain plug for the cooler up front fits perfectly.

The comment about the Walleye statue out of bass wood would be ironic.
I never thought about it, until it was mentioned.
The reason that I mention Bass Wood, is that it is the wood of choice for carvers since it has the right texture, knot free, right strength etc.

But you are right - a bit ironic, walleye from Bass Wood.

Take care

I've had the issue of the plug popping off on both my Rangers. I second the tapered rubber plug from True Value, works like a charm. Matter a fact, I cut the factory plug off the second boat the day I got it, and put my rubber plug in

Couldn't stand that thing unplugging!!!
