yammie or merc

hi i"m bying a 1800 pro-v tiller and my heart was set on a yammie because of all the great stuff on the tiller arm. now i'm not so sure , i saw the new tiller arm from merc and you can have power steering on it and all the same feature. now , the million dollar question, .WHAT'S THE BEST ENGINE , 90HP FOUR STROKE MERC OR 90HP YAMAHA ? i know that in the past YAMAHA used to built engines for MERC but now , it isn't so .........ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT........THANKS
