Default Ranger boat seat...

The driver's seat on my '00 617 Ranger is getting worn due to a lot of use. I thought that I'd simply swap it for one of my other less-used seats. However, the size of the hole on the driver's seat bracket is different from the holes on the other seat brackets and they won't fit on the driver's seat pedestal. My question is: can I swap the metal bracket that is attached to the underside of the driver's seat for the metal bracket on one of the other seats? The plates aren't the same size, but the holes seem to be in the same position. ??????

I don't think it should be an issue. The holes should line up as the seats should be the same. Should be a pretty quick and easy install 8 bolts between two seats and your good to go.

I called Ranger to be certain I wouldn't cause a problem and they said the bases could be swapped - just do it by hand, not with power equipment. Now my butt will be in the lap of luxury for another eight years. :-)
