Eagle Fishmark Problem

I have an Eagle fishmark 500c and it is only showing half a screen. The bottom half has the normal picture however the top half is black. I tried resetting it etc.. however nothing works. According to Eagle it will be $199 to repair it. Any tips on what I could try. I don't think its worth the money to send it in

You say you reset it. Do you mean you changed some settings from the menu? There is a RESET to unit. I have an Eagle 240 and Eagle told me how to reset it. Not sure if yours is the same, but here is how I do it.

Press-Menu & hold
Press-Power & hold
Test nenu will appear on the screen, release Menu and Power.
Press Exit, something else will appear,
Press Exit again.
Turn unit off and restart, should be set.
(If battery goes dead in the boat, reset it) Thats what fixed mine.
