Xd 100

Hi All, I receintly purchased a gallon of XD 100 for my etec. Comparing it to the half gallon I had left from last season, the new stuff is darker and looks a little thinner. Did they reformulate the stuff? Can 2 stroke oil go bad? The half gallon is no more than 1 year old. Thanks
