Default Finally got boat in water

After an emergency surgery and a long recovery,I finally got my Lund Rebel Sport with Mercury 75hp 4 stroke in the water. After three months of sitting,it fired right up,and right away,I was pleased with just how smooth and quiet it was.I varied the speed and played with the trim learning the boat for a couple of hours then took it for a brief acceleration test. With two of us in the boat, and the stock aluminum 17 pitch prop,it topped out at 38mph gps and 5800rpm on the tach. Now that I know the top speed and rpm,I am planning on buying a 16"vengeance prop to increase my speed and rpm slightly.

Smile Which Rebel Sport?

Do you have the 1625 Rebel XL Sport? I see that for 2009 there is a 1725 and an 1825 Rebel also. They look like great boats too.

Hope you are feeling better now..........Very nice speed for a 75Hp, keep us up-to-date after you run the SS prop.
