I'm trying to remove an '07 Mercury control box from the panel in which it is attached to. I've stared at it for about an hour and I am clueless. The secret appears to be to remove the throttle handle first, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it without breaking something in the process. I know there must be something really simple to it.
Can anyone give me an idea on how it's done? |

check the bottom side of the handle for a set screw. I believe that is what someone said in a previous post

I looked all over the unit and there is no set screw to be seen.
Thanks, though. |

If you're trying to remove the remote control panel
put the control handle in the forword position you can now pop the nuetral button out of the center of the handle there's a nut inside that removes the handle when the handle's removed you'll see three screw heads that removes the bezel. After that, it's self explanetory Good Luck wimpee |
