Default Ethernet vs networking

I have a 113hd on the console networked with another LCX unit on the bow. I have them networked and set up to share waypoints and it works great.
I always understood that to share sonar readings (in other words for me to see a sonar picture off the bowmount transducer at the console) I would have to be set up with ethernet (yellow cable).

However I recently heard that it was possible to recieve a digital output of the bowmount depth reading on the screen of the console unit using the network cable I now have set up.
I have looked at the 113 manual and don't see anything on the subject as I, describe it. Anyone have any experience with this to know if it is indeed do-able?

two lcx units (with the ethernet plugs) could share one transducer at
the same time but work as independent sonars.
Other than that there isn't much to be gained.

Check in the overlay data to see if they will share digital output from
one unit to the other. A globalmap unit will see digital data from an
lcx unit networked with nmea 2000, but I have never tried an lcx
to lcx.

In addition to sonar data, can LCX units connected via an ethernet cable share the same gps antenna and view the same map, provided you have map chips in each unit?

I dont have the unit in front of me to try it but when I do this I will get the depth that the front ducer is seeing displayed as overlay data and the console sonar will be working as normal?

they can share the same gps antenna with nmea 2000, not ethernet.
If you use data cards, each will need it's own card, and each unit
will view that card independently.

Ok whoa the wolla.
I hate to be a pest but now that I have my unit in front of me, (113 hd with the latest software update) I am getting no choice to go to "Nema or Networking" as you suggested from the "over lay data" menu.
Probably pilot error on my part but any ideas how exactly to display the front sonar depth on my console unit? Could it be that they are not currently networked as I try and search for this menu choice? I currently have just the 113 inside with me on a temp power source.

The other unit is not on the network (in your house) so it won't show it in the menu.

Thanks Workdog, I was wondering if that was what the problem was.
