I won a Strikemaster Mag 2000 this weekend at a tourney on Mille Lacs. I am thinking about selling it and buying a Lazer Mag. Or seeing if Strikemaster will let me trade up through them. What are the pros and cons of each model? As far as I can tell the only differences are in the drill unit, the motors and transitions are the same. Is it worth the hassle of upgrading?

I'd say, it's Free, why not get all the use out of it you can. It will more than likely do all you need it to and it cost you nothing. IMO

Keep the 2000 if you wish low maintenance and dependability. If you upgrade go to the electric or the 4 stoke.
The Mag v2000 is very good unit, keep it if it serves your needs.

Thanks guys I talked to Strikemaster and they told me I can upgrade to the lazer drill unit (just the lower half) for the difference in price, which is only $35. I figure you can beat a brand new lazer for $35.
