Default Complete Sonar Systems

I have been thinking of buying the new HDS5 with complete system for the bow and back by the tiller motor. Does anybody have any thoughts on this system or seen one? Any help would be good.

just check a few threads down, there is a test on a 5x(sonar only).

Everything I have read on early users of HDS has been very positive.

Here is how I see it shaking down:

Buying a combo will save you a few $$ on two units and cabeling, will allow you to share transducer info front and back, would allow you to share GPS data (if you got a GPS model) and would allow you to share side imaging (should you choose to add that feature in the future).

On the other hand, as the HDS reviewer noted in the other thread, no sonar is perfect or uses the exact same frequency or software, so having units from DIFFERENT manufactures will give you a slightly different perspective of what lies below. I have always gone with this option (I currently run a Vex and will be adding an HDS unit + SI) because I see an advantage to the different types of data I can get from each unit.
