eagle trailers

at one time eagle trailers had quite a presence in the walleye boat market. lately i have noticed that we do not see them around anymore. i own one and i think it is a great trailer i just wonder why we don't see them around as much, maybe it is just a regional thing and our local dealers are not carrying them anymore.

They were bought out by another trailer mfg (non-fishing and larger pleasure boat I believe) about 4 years ago. The plant in MI was relocated shortly thereafter and with the economy was shutdown late last year. They have another plant located somewhere making trailers. But, I believe they don't have the presence in the right state or have owners marketing them. They are a super nice trailer.

yea they are still around but like Stormsearch they have went though some changes

I contacted them about the trailer on the Grady I bought last year, the trailer was a 2004 model year and I needed documentation on the weight of it. I gave them the serial number and they had all the into on it and were very helpful. I needed to register the trailer in Mich and needed the weight of it. I was able to get it from them and save me the hassle of removing the boat from the trailer and weighing it

Yah, and I contacted them in their new digs a year ago when I was considering changing my Eagle to Liquilube hubs. Still got good advice from them under their new ownership. Still good people. Bought my trailer in 2003 so I can't comment on their current product line, but I like my Eagle.

i was thinking of changing over to the liqua lube system as well. However i ended up repacking in the fall again and never pursued it any further. Did you change yours over to the liquid. the spindles on my trailer are the SAFE T Lube and I am not sure if the liqua lube system would work with the drilled spindle.

Nah, I left it with the flow-through hubs that came with the trailer. I decided to have the bearings changed this year instead (my original dealer -- since closed -- said changing bearings would never be necessary with the flow-through hubs -- not correct!). After 6 years one set was starting to show wear, so I am glad I did.

I figure I will wait and get Liquilubes on my next trailer. I was going to buy a new rig this year with Liquilubes but changed my mind last fall in light of the economy and changed the bearings instead.
