Not to say Nick would be out of the top ten, did you see what 11Th place is paying?
Maybe get your money back at best.
Tough times .
Many good sticks missing from the roster.
I would guess that the guys that are on shore are at home trying to generate busness.

Not sure why Nick Johnson was not at Erie. As for your quote, apparently a number of anglers did just that. Stayed at home. A partial field (124) did reduce the payouts. On the other hand at least the FLW Tour paid 50 places. The sad reality in this economy is when tournament fishing becomes a non paying proposition for anglers, many will drop out. If you think the FLW Tour payouts are bad wait until you see what the AIM payouts will be this year. Partial fields do no one any good.

If you think that was a prtial field wait till you see how many participants will fish the rest of the circuit. The Winnebago event will probably be closest to filled but the other two probably will not reach the 124 that were at Port Clinton. It's economics folks.......if these tours want to make it work they have to reach out to the pros and make it worth their while instead of just taking a chance and hoping to win some cash.

Time to start thinking out of the box 620. All of your responses are typical of the old timers sort of thinking. I'm talking cash for appearances and sponsorship for events, not just the chance to fish the championship. With the advertisement each fisherman gives the FLW Tour just pulling their boats 15-20000 miles per year the FLW Tour should be making it more affordable for their regular tour members and have an entrance program for those new to the tour.....a chance to make money for everyone at each event.

Great idea! Only problem is where will the money come from? Maybe an Obama bailout of walleye tournament circuits? Not likely to happen. The FLW has signed some new sponsors. Cabela's being one of them. That may not bring major benefits in the short term, but it should have the potential to do so for the long term.

The FLW Walleye Tour may not be perfect. All things considered, at the top tier of competitive walleye fishing the FLW offers the best game in town.

Aww come on Vikes Fan - let's let this one roll. If everyone fishing the tournament could make money, I'd probably fish them too! Along with you and everyone else. We'd be one big happy fishing family. No more work, we'd just go sign up for the tournament and make money. I suppose if we wanted to make more money, we'd just sign up to fish more tournaments.
