Default How to tell if LGC-2000 is bad ?

Had my boat out for first time this year yesterday and GPS would not respond. Today I checked all fuses and made sure everything was wired properly. It was working when I put it away last fall. Is there any way of determining wheather my LGC-2000 is bad or could it be a problem with my X25C ? I don't want to spend the money on a module if that is not the problem and I really don't want to send either unit into Lowrance as it would probably take a couple of months to get it back. Any and all advice appreciated.
Thanks, Jim

Mine didn't work the first trip out not knowing I have the "Requied WAAS" on the last trip last year. Didn't even have any messages from the unit that it usually give out. Off that and its all good now. Hope yours is as simple as that. Is it giving you any messages?

Default LGC2000 Module

I've got one for sale on the swap board. I see you are from Grand Rapids, I will be in McGregor this weekend, but also may head over to Leech Sat or Sun. E-mail me if interested, we could connect someplace in between.

Mine didn't work either first time out, but I have mine networked and when I turned on the bow unit, it all came to life. So I don't know if that is your problem or not.

Yes if Networked , make sure it is powered up. Usually a second switch in older units had to be wired. New units they fixed the Power Cord to both boot up the unit and the network.

Hit pages and see if the Bars show any life finding GPS satellites.

The units have issues that may have the GPS to be replaced too.
