Default Stereo

You wiring experts think I can hook my stereo up to power off my trolling batteries or will I get the buzzing motors through the speakers ? I know you cant hook locator power to the trolling batts but what about stereos? I dont want to interfere with the locators either by wiring the stereo to the starting batt. But less chance of a problem there i would guess.

Is there a regular fuse panel in your boat? If so you can pick up power there that shouldn't bother the stereo....

I don't know ... us real fishermen don't listen to stereo's in our fishing boats, too busy catching and fishing. Unless there is dancing up on the Do-C-Do deck.

Uh ... OK yes the fuse box or just run an in-line fuse from the cranking motor battery. I have never heard of anyone having that problem. There are a few stereo anglers out there. I hear em. LOL

Default Karpie made a funny.

I think anyways. I dont want to go to the back where the starting batt is. I mounted my stereo under the front deck in the space to the right of the trolling batts. Short runs to the speakers and batteries. I did put an in line 15 amp atm fuse and for now remove the fuse when finished to act as a disconnect so as not to draw power when not in use. A light always stays on even when the power is off to the radio. Probably not a concern as I do not use the radio when fishing and always plugged in when overnighting. Believe it or not I use my boat for other things other than fishing and the radio comes in real handy. After dinner cruises with a little Dean Martin is always relaxing dont you agree?? Plug in the ol ipod and I got everything from Waylon and Willie to Dean and Frank to Ted Nugent and Jimi Hendrix. Plus I can tune in the Pack beating the Crybabies during the late season excursions.

Hey, I was snooping around on NFL.com today, and realized that the Pack are hosting the 'Boys on Nov 15th. Are you inviting Smack up for the game?

Default Absolutely.

The Smack is welcome anytime. My daughters boyfriend, who is also a big boys fan , needs someone to share his crying towel . He still has not forgiven me from making him wear a cheese head wedge at the Lambeau tour last year. I let it be known to the others on the tour that he was a Cboy fan. He took grief throughout the whole tour , mostly from the tour guide. I was smiling the whole time.

Smile Hey Packer Smacker, Smoker lit one

OK I have to admit ... that is a handy tool. LOL Yes that is circled on my calendar ... The Pack will Smack down the Cry Babies.

I have a lot of Cryboys down here to deal with. That sounds pretty sweet on a Lambeau tour.

Hey Russell, Shadtaxi, Packer Smacker ... what say you?

Default Stereo...

Don't know if you will get any interference from the trolling motor, but if you do you can run a double ground to the radio. That willl fix it! But I don't see the trollong motor being the problem, maybe the main though. Hope this helps! Happy fishing....and Jamming!

I can't think of a better use of my time than to watch the Boys smack the Packers at home. Why is Rodgers always on his back? Plus I hear they have lots of cheese. One of my favorites. As for the tour, I would probably be tossed out. But I have been kicked out of better places

Why is Green Bay so far away? Chances are you will hear me doing the play by play right here on WC! Now that's what I'm talkin about!
