Default Lowrance HDS-7

Anyone else have problems with water getting into their HDS-7 units. I thought I saw a posting earlier; however, it appears it is missing now.

Some HDS units had this problem, Lowrance replaces them with new units and I haven't heard of problems with the new units.

Anyone happen to know whether the HDS 7 leaky seal issue is due to faulty original seals or just improper installation of the seal on some units? Apparently not all HDS 7 owners have experienced a leaking seal. Thanks in advance.
