Yep heard the bass been biting good, but this cold snap/higher water woulda shut that bite down here.Warming up again as of today and 80tys this weekend and river dropping, should stir up the fish, hopefully of the pike family kind.

Would a 14ft. aluminum deep v and 15 horse motor be enough boat for the Susky?

Yep.. That's exactly what I've been running on the Susky for years. I should be down there right now (opening day here), but I'm stuck at work for the weekend. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

At work? ARRGGGHHH!! That's not good for your health! Retirement is good Chris. Jump the border and get out of the state of high taxation. How's Bobber doing?

I will save ya a few!!!Heading out in an hour, will let ya know how the bite was. With the heat-wave coming today gonna try tossing a big rapala in coves and see if any toothy critters bite as well.

The only reason I dont like props is your limited to the launch area if river is low,or ya gotta park a car down-stream from ya.

Jetster.. I agree. If you fish the river exclusively.. a jet's the way to go! I only fish it late fall and just the start of the season. Only launch in a couple of spots and know the bottoms of them intimately. A few spots more intimately than I'd like!
Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Couldnt find an anchor man so called up a girl! She fishes from shore and catches some nice walleye, but this was her first time in a boat.We both got sun-burned and she still didnt want to quit.We ended up bringing home 9 keepers,I gave them all to her.Looks like I gotta go catch more tomorrow....
