Buy 2 quick release brackets for the maxxum and have someone modify the mounting holes to suit the terrova. a machine shop could handle this for you easily.

Yes

As mentioned above, I used two Maxxum mounts and drilled the holes in the Terrova base to mount to the Maxxum top slide mount.

I seem to remember some of the existing mounting holes in the Terrova base were used.

I made a few modifications to the Maxxum top slide mount to allow the Terrova to slide forward for fishing and to slide back so the motor did not hang over the bow of the boat when docking or towing. A second modification also allowed the Terrova to sit in the same position as the Maxxum so I could use the boat cover without removing the Terrova.

The boat came with a Maxxum but I wanted to be able to quickly switch between the two for different fishing styles/needs.

The Maxxum bottom slide plate mounting holes lined up with the existing Maxxum TM mounting holes so no new mounting holes were needed in the bow.

The motor slides approx. 3 1/2'' forward from center( boths slides even) for the motor to clear the bow when deployed for fishing and slides approx. 7 1/2" from center, to the rear for docking and towing with the cover on. The Terrova base plates forward edge is mounted forward of the top slide plate forward edge by 5".

Because of the needed bow clearance for deploying the Terrovas, the TM skeg tip hangs off the bow about 10" when stowed. I decided on the slide modification because I did not like the motor hanging off the bow when docking. The slide modification to the rear is just for the cover use.

If the overhang is not a concern to you for docking or for fitting under an existing cover, then there is no need to modify the slide mount.

The mounts I used were model MKA 52/62
The slide halves are not available seperately so you will have an extra bottom half of the slide unlesss you have a second boat to use it on as I did.

Good Luck

Default Pics?

I was thinking about doing just what you are describing. Could you post some pictures of your modifications?

Thanks,

TB
