couple of rods I built

Here are a couple rods I built.

The purple one is one for the wife. 7' split grip spinning rod.

The fly rod is a 4 pc 6 weight fly rod with feather inlays.

The 3rd rod is a 6' lite action spinning rod. I did an American flag cross wrap between the split grips. I've built a couple more I'll post later.

I always thought about building my own rods, just don't have the time or make the time to do it.

what kind of blanks do you use?

Same here, built some back in the 80's but now woodworking has taken over the garage and reloading the extra bedroom and just no time anymore...

Nice looking rods. It is fun to make your own and customize the wraps.
